WP3 | Raw Materials Circularity.

WP3

Raw Materials Circularity.

| WP coordinated by MCS

WP3 aims to promote and stimulate the circular economy within the ceramics and glassware sectors, integrating various information about the sector, waste typology, and good circular economy practices. Ceramic pastes and innovative products will be developed from a life cycle perspective, using secondary raw materials such as waste or by-products generated by the sector\\\\'s activities or those of other sectors.

PPS 7 | Centralized Logistics Service for waste collection and recovery

Service provided in the scope of the resource centre (platform – the platform itself being a PPS resulting from WP6) contributing to eco-innovation and sustainability by promoting industrial symbioses, where secondary raw materials (from waste and by-products), good practices and examples of industrial symbioses will be available (where a company's waste is a resource for another) if practical solutions, cooperation between companies and entities of the scientific and technological system in the search for alternative solutions of eco-efficiency, industrial ecology and economy resilience.
Technology taker: MCS

PPS 8 | ECOBLEND GP - New Raw Material for eco-sustainable Ceramic Body Floor Tiles

A new ceramic raw material will be developed using secondary raw materials such as waste or by-products generated by the inner activities or from other industrial sectors, for eco-sustainable ceramic body for stoneware porcelain floor tiles.
Technology taker: MCS

PPS 9 | REVVER - New Ceramic Body for eco-sustainable Wall Tiles

A new ceramic body will be developed using secondary raw materials such as waste or by-products generated by the inner activities or from other industrial sectors, for eco-sustainable stoneware wall tiles.
Technology taker: MCS

PPS 10 | GRESVER - New Ceramic Body for eco-sustainable stoneware tableware

A new ceramic body will be developed using secondary raw materials such as waste or by-products generated by the inner activities or from other industrial sectors, for eco-sustainable stoneware porcelain tableware.
Technology taker: MCS

PPS 11 | Glass with higher incorporation of glass waste

New glass paste will be produced using secondary raw materials such as waste or by-products generated by the inner activities or from other industrial sectors.
Technology taker: CRISAL

PPS 33 | ECOSAN - New Ceramic Body for eco-sustainable stoneware sanitaryware

New ceramic body will be developed using secondary raw materials such as waste or by-products generated by the inner activities or from other industrial sectors, for eco-sustainable stoneware sanitaryware.
Technology taker: MCS

The circular economy alleviates the pressure on natural resources consumption and is a precondition for reaching the goal of climate neutrality by 2050, considering that a significant percentage of greenhouse gas emissions result from the extraction and processing of mineral resources.

The proposal of new ceramic or glass products that involve the recovery of materials, the possibility of remanufacturing, solutions that promote longer product lifetimes in the use phase of service design are factors of potential distinction, innovation, and added value with the generality of the products currently produced and commercialized by companies in these sectors.
