WP1
Ceramic and Glassware Furnaces and other Firing Solutions.
Develops and demonstrates the technical feasibility of low-carbon ceramic firing/melting technologies.
+ INFOThis consortium's mission is to improve the global positioning of the Portuguese ceramics and crystal industry clusters through the use of green energies; the reduction of the carbon footprint; the reuse and recycling of waste from the ceramics sector and the integration of waste from other sectors; the digitization of products, processes and the logistics chain through a green digital passport and the training and capacity building of human resources.
In order to respond to the main challenge of carbon neutrality in the ceramics and glassware sector, addressing energy sustainability, circular economy and industrial symbioses, digital transition and training, the agenda is organized internally into 8 thematic WPs resulting in 33 PPS, a target to be achieved by 2025.
Develops and demonstrates the technical feasibility of low-carbon ceramic firing/melting technologies.
+ INFOStudy and develop thermal energy loss mitigation solutions for the ceramic and glass industries, demonstrating the technical feasibility of the solutions in the industrial environment.
+ INFOPromote and stimulate the circular economy within the ceramics and glassware sectors, integrating various information about the sector, waste typology, and good circular economy practices.
+ INFODeveloping new ceramic bodies to reduce the sintering temperatures required in the kiln, leading to ceramic products with a lower carbon footprint.
+ INFOImproving the productive efficiency of the companies' internal processes and of the processes of the various companies involved in the sector's value chain.
+ INFOAchieving a new, sustainable and flexible way of producing goods and managing processes, using different technologies.
+ INFOCreate a digital training academy, accessible to the entire sector.
+ INFOTransversal to all WP’s, dedicated to the management and promotion of the Agenda.
