Developing new ceramic bodies to reduce the sintering temperatures required in the kiln, leading to ceramic products with a lower carbon footprint.

WP4 | New Ceramic Products with low-temperature sintering.

WP4

New Ceramic Products with low-temperature sintering.

| WP coordinated by Vista Alegre

WP4 aims to reduce the firing temperatures, restructuring the design of the bodies to achieve the same characteristics in standardized firing conditions, with the energy and environmental advantages. Ceramic pastes and innovative products will be developed with low-temperature sintering.

The development of new materials and raw materials that can contribute to more efficient ceramic processes, as well as applying strategies to create new proposals for ceramic and crystal products with potential for innovation, sustainability, and added value is needed.

The creation of these products is also a fundamental pillar for the sustainability of these industrial sectors, as they are in line with a lower generation of environmental impacts, reduction of production costs, and the offer of ecologically more adequate products for the global markets in general and the markets of greater environmental awareness.
